Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a significant and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and shot down a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported wreckage fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
